Ahhh… welcome to Friday! This week has been hot and smokey, and my heart goes out to everyone being effected by these crazy fires. We’re in dire need of a downpour to get rid of all this haze. If you’re somewhere with clear, fresh air, don’t take it for granted. It’s truly a blessing!
I shared earlier this week that I’ve been shopping like crazy, because I feel I got ripped off by California’s shopping when we were there a couple weeks ago. Do you ever go out with the intention of buying a lot of stuff, and then can’t find anything you want? But when you’re just mindlessly scrolling at home, you find loads of stuff to buy? That’s me these days. Package after package, FedEx, UPS, USPS… they all know where we live by now. Sometimes I think about taking an entire month off from mindless purchases, but that’s so long! Perhaps I could go 2 weeks, or 1 week? Have you ever gone on a shopping hiatus?
This weekend Justin and I hope to get couples pedicures because we’re both long overdue. Oddly enough, Justin loves pedicures and he was actually the one to ask when our next appointment is. I guess men love getting pampered, too. We also have a casual wedding reception to attend, and it feels so good to be back with old friends in a group setting. I think it’s safe to say life is becoming normal again. *knock on wood*
