Happy Memorial Day weekend, friends! My weekend officially began on Wednesday and work doesn’t commence until next Tuesday (which also happens to be our wedding anniversary)! Hurray for long weekends.
This past week I ran my first half marathon in Salem, OR and it felt really good to accomplish that goal of mine. My mom said to me the other day, “I don’t know how you do it.” In which I replied, “I don’t either!” It’s literally one step at a time, and I’ll never regret doing it! I wrote a detailed blog post about my half marathon earlier this week. You can read that here.
We also discovered a mama bird and her eggs in their nest in our FRONT DOOR WREATH… ugh. While I get there’s not much safer place than under a covered patio, it really is quite inconvenient that the mom decided to set up camp in a place we use everyday. I know you’re not supposed to move a nest, but I wish we would have caught her nest sooner. How long does it take for baby birds to hatch and flee the nest? Can anyone give me an estimate on how long they’ll be staying rent free?
And who watched the FRIENDS Reunion that premiered yesterday?! I just watched it last night and oh, my heart. While I didn’t grow up watching the show, I’ve seen each episode a thousand times within the past 5-6 years and I feel like I’ve been a part of their lives since day 1. It was so cool to see them as young adults compared to now. A truly iconic series! (The Reunion episode is available on HBO Max)
