Friday is finally here, and I must say… I’ve awaited this particular Friday for awhile now! Later tonight Justin, my mom and myself are headed to PDX for my half marathon race on Sunday. I shared the start of my running journey here, and plan to write a “part 2” once I’ve completed my race. Training for a half marathon is no easy task, and quite time consuming, so I’m looking forward to taking a step back from hours of running and spending more time with weights.
Besides prepping my body to run 13.1 miles, I’ve really been enjoying the summer-like days we’ve been having. 80’s and 90’s? Yes, please! I have quite a few days off from work next week and I’m trying to decide how to spend my days! Swim? Soak up some sun? Shop? My three favorite “S” words. And you better believe I’ll be having my own little F.R.I.E.N.D.S party for the reunion airing May 27th. Do you plan on watching? Could I BE any more excited?!
I recently invested in this pair of denim and this pair of shorts (both tall-girl approved) so I’ve been taking a step back from frivolous shopping. However, sometimes my shopping itch must be scratched so I just placed a MANGO order and I’m crossing my fingers everything works! I snagged this dress in black, but the white is just as good. This mini floral dress was an instant “add to cart” item and I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it nonstop. I’ve really been into wearing collared shirts more casually — like with distressed jeans, or denim shorts — so I’m looking forward to this striped one to arrive. And can a girl really have too many basic tees?? I don’t think so!
Since Memorial weekend is right around the corner, would you gals be interested in some sales? I know the plethora of sales during this holiday can be overwhelming, so I’d only share the stores I think are having the best deals/are my favorite. Yay or nay? Let me know in the comments!
