Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today’s post is simple, but something I wanted to share. I’m talking about my favorite summer makeup products! I don’t claim to be a beauty guru, but I’m just here to share what I personally use and what works for me. I love trying new, affordable makeup which is the majority of what I’ll be sharing. Let’s get into it.
I’ve shared this mascara on my Instagram stories before, but I kid you not when I say how awesome this stuff is. It has real bristles (not silicone bristles) and only comes in a jet black color. It makes your lashes so long and is extremely affordable. I don’t plan on using anything else!
The ELF H.D. Lifting Concealer and the NYX Born to Glow Radiant Concealer are my two favorites right now. I talked about the ELF concealer in this post, and still stand by it. They’re both lightweight (perfect for hot summer days) and drugstore prices.
My go-to bronzer and blush duo are the Milk Makeup Bronzer Stick and the NudeStix Cream Blush. They apply really nicely and are easy to blend. For summer, I like to opt for cream bronzer/blush to give a dewy look. The more powder I pack on, the more ‘blah’ I feel. I need that natural glow that cream products offer!
One of my favorite BB creams is this one from Marcelle Beauty. As you can tell by the tube, I’ve gave it some love. I just placed an order for my second tube.. it’s THAT good! The package says you can wear it under foundation or by itself — I prefer to wear it alone. A very light, dewy finish that evens your skin tone. I highly recommend! It’s only available in a tan shade, which is why I preach this product more-so in the summer.
A more affordable foundation that I’ve been loving is this one by Covergirl. You may have seen me mention this on Instagram and I’ve had multiple people reach out saying they’ve tried it and love it! A very lightweight foundation — think serum-like. A fan favorite for sure!
If I’m feeling oily or just don’t want to mess with liquid/cream makeup, I opt for this powder foundation from Wander Beauty. I never used to think that powder foundations actually provided coverage, but this one proved me wrong! I apply concealer and then will brush this powder all over my face in place of any liquid foundations. It gives a matte finish, but is extremely lightweight on the skin and feels like I’m wearing nothing. 10/10 recommend!
I’ve had this eyeshadow palette for years and it’s basically the only one I use! I’m not confident in my eyeshadow application abilities, so I like to stick with the basics. Ya feel me? This palette is all matte shadows, and perfect for everyday wear. I stick with the lighter colors (free spirit, wanderer), but will occasionally use the darker shades (dreamer, power player) for eyeliner.
