I shared this novel on IG that I recently finished, so I thought I’d dedicate a blog post of my favorite murder mystery novels! While I’ve only read a few from below, I’m eager to read all of them while I’m on this reading kick.
Let me be the first to admit that I am petrified of thriller movies; I simply cannot handle them! Something about watching a murder unravel on-screen is way scarier than reading it on paper. Wouldn’t you agree?
I just finished The Woman in the Window and was absolutely floored by the ending. Truly a book I never wanted to put down! The Girl on the Train I read a few years ago, and thought it was equally as great. I also know that it was made into a movie starring Emily Blunt, and haven’t brought myself to watch it yet. I have The Woman in Cabin 10 on hold at the library, and as if I didn’t dislike cruise ships already, I have a feeling this book isn’t going to help my case.
Where the Crawdads Sing is checked out everywhere, so that tells me it MUST be a popular read. I believe it’s a classic (?) and I’d love to see what the rave is all about. The Couple Next Door is also at the top of my list, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is everywhere on Google.
Have you read any of the books from above? Also, what’s with all murder mysteries involving “the women who…”, “the girl on…”? What other thrillers are a must-read, in your opinion? Please share with the class!
