In 2025, I started my own personal styling business so I wanted to share a quick read on how I actually go about shopping and styling each client.
Budget awareness
We don’t always set a hard number, but I get a clear sense of what feels comfortable so recommendations are realistic—not aspirational-only.
Age + lifestyle first
Age matters, but lifestyle matters more. I shop with your day-to-day life in mind—work, walking, school drop-off, social plans, all of it.
One “ideal” piece + smart alternatives
I’ll show one ideal investment item, followed by 1–2 more cost-effective options that give a similar look and feel.
Local-first shopping
Whenever possible, I prioritize stores we have locally so clients can shop in person—try things on, feel fabrics, and avoid returns.
Personal styling notes included
Each item comes with small notes—fit tips, styling ideas, or reminders from our session—to make getting dressed easier later.
Clearly categorized shopping lists
Everything is organized by category (tops, bottoms, layers, shoes, etc.) so shopping feels simple, not overwhelming.
Only stores I trust
I recommend retailers I personally shop from or have experience with—brands I know are consistent in quality and fit.
Intentional sizing inclusivity
Store suggestions are chosen based on size ranges that actually work for that specific client.
Style-led store selection
Where I send you depends on your style—whether you love elevated basics, soft neutrals, or are open to color and prints.
