My usual winter outfit go-to is a great pair of denim and a cozy sweater. However, I only have so much denim to go around before I want to switch things up. I recently branched out in this post, and have been loving finding new bottoms/dresses that I can wear during the colder months. Insert velvet pants! These velvet trousers from LOFT are incredibly cozy, chic, and perfect for winter workwear or even a holiday party! I love that they have an elastic waistband for ease and comfort, and a straight leg. But the biggest bonus of them all? Not only are they offered in regular length, but TALL length as well. A true Christmas gift, if I do say so myself.
But on the days I’m feeling a bit more casual, or am ready to cycle back into my jeans, I love this look pictured below. While velvet can easily be dressed up (seen above), I’m really loving a velvet top paired with a pair of distressed straight leg denim. This outfit would be perfect for a happy hour with the gals, or a casual dinner party at home.
