It’s officially a new week, and a short work week, thank goodness! How was everyone’s weekend? Justin and I had a BBQ with my parents, watched Cars 2, ate at a restaurant, and took some photos. It’s gloomy here today, but it’s been blazing hot the past few days. Summer is officially here!
I wanted to show you a few of my favorite linen pieces in my wardrobe for those hot summer days. As much as I love a good pair of denim shorts, sometimes I have to break out the linen alternatives to cool me off in this heat. These linen pants from Abercrombie are the perfect summer pant. They’re lined, available in SHORT, REGULAR, and TALL sizes, three color choices, and an elastic waistband. Yes please! I am wearing a SMALL TALL, and probably could have sized down. They are a bit baggy in the waist. Besides the sizing, I’m in love with these pants!

If I’m not feeling pants, I’ll 9 times out of 10 reach for a dress. There’s nothing that makes me feel more like a lady than wearing a midi, linen blend dress with heels. Trust me, it’s not my everyday look, but I always feel classy when I throw a dress on! The one I’m wearing is already sold out, but it’s from one of my favorite Australian Boutiques, Petal & Pup! I’d highly recommend them. However, this dress and this dress are similar to mine!

If it’s not a pants or a dress day, shorts it is! I’ve had these shorts for over a year now, and they’re unbelievably comfortable. H&M kept these shorts around and I’m so glad they did! Very affordable, a modest length, and an elastic waistband with a tie belt. You can dress these shorts up or down, and I love them because they allow for airflow due to their baggier fit. Loose, yet put together clothing: my go-to for this summer, LOL.
