My favorite thing about dressing for cooler temps is all the layering; mixing and matching fabrics and prints to create texture and visual interest. I had so much fun creating these 3 fall looks from Humble Fig’s new arrivals that you can wear to the office, running errands, happy hour, church and more.

Be sure to follow Humble Fig on IG for an exciting giveaway, and use the code ELLEN10 for a discount on the pieces you see below, as well as the entire site!

Slip skirts and slip dresses are very in-style these days and I’ve always veered away from them because the silk material (real or not) never seems to be a flattering material on myself. It can be really clingy, it’s not stretchy, and not very forgiving. After looking at this slip skirt from Target for months, I decided to try it for myself because a) easy returns and b) didn’t break the bank.

Today I wanted to share a couple summer skirts with you all, as I’ve recently become a skirt gal. I’ve always been hesitant with skirts because they’re either too short, or too “old school” for my liking. But, not anymore! Now that I know where to shop for skirts, I find myself being drawn towards them more and more. They’re perfect for summer, and can be paired with heels, sneakers, tshirts, sweaters, and so much more.
