Welcome, Friday! This week has been a HOT one in Boise, but I’m not complaining! But with this time of year comes grasshoppers that invade the city — I feel like I’m living the plague and I can’t say I like it. Truthfully though, these little buggers are everywhere and while I’m not a fan of any type of bug, these guys are worse because they not only crawl, but they hop AND fly. I can’t win. On the bright side, the intense heat seems to be killing them off and I’ve never been more grateful for birds than I am right now. Snack time!
Besides grasshopper infestation, I’m slowly getting back into running. Only about 3-4 miles per week and it’s actually quite nice; I even got fitted for new running shoes! My knee/IT band hasn’t been bothering me now that I’ve been going to physical therapy and I hope it stays that way. I have no plans for any races, but I’d like to keep my options open and be fully recovered before pounding the pavement too much again.
In case you hadn’t heard, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (aka, Nsale) is open to everyone starting today! Earlier this week I shared my Nsale picks, and a lot of items are still in-stock. I haven’t snagged anything myself yet, as I feel like I can’t get myself to buy for fall/winter just yet, but we’ll see! Do you plan on shopping the sale?
