I wanted to dedicate today’s Wednesday Wishlist to something that I’ve personally been on the lookout for… black ankle booties. After purging my closet multiple times since last fall/winter, I’ve narrowed my boot collection down to just one pair of black booties. The one’s I kept are not only a few years old, but are suede with gold accents — a dressy bootie, if you will. So, this year I’m on the hunt for a practical, comfortable pair of everyday black ankle boots. If you’re in need of a pair (or 2!) like myself, look no further! I own these booties in suede from last year, and I love them. They’re under $100 and the leather is super soft + the heel height is a friendly 2 1/2″. I also like the little added studs around the toe. These are from the same brand, but with a pointier toe and a side zipper detail.
I’ve actually had my eye on this pair for a few months now and you know what they say: “if you can’t stop thinking about it, buy it.” Just by looking at the product images online, I can already tell how soft the leather is, making the ‘break-in’ process less time consuming. I also love the heel and shaft height, perfect for cuffed jeans! Plus, the pointed toe offers a more modern look.
I thought these combat boots were fun, but I don’t know how often I’d actually wear them…. I like that the pearl accents gives off a feminine vibe, while the combat design remains edgy.
