We’re back talking runway fashion, and this time, it’s all about the Michael Kors Spring 2027 Collection. As a former Michael Kors employee, the brand will always hold a special place in my heart, so naturally, I was excited to see what came down the runway. From vibrant greens and bold stripes to abstract florals and a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine, there’s a lot to love. Let’s dive into the looks that caught my eye from this morning’s show.
Beautiful outfit aside, I love seeing Michael Kors embrace more body inclusivity on the runway. It’s taken the fashion industry far too long to make this shift, and I love to see it. The outfit is every bit as rockstar as the model wearing it! I love the bold checkered pattern paired with the asymmetrical silhouette and finished with a classic black belt. And take note of the striped bag — it’s done in the same color palette but a completely different pattern. Such a cool mix!
While modeled by a man, what I love about this look is how effortlessly gender-neutral it feels — I think it would look equally as cool on a woman. And see what I mean about this vibrant green? It reminds me of freshly cut grass in the summertime, but when paired with rich brown and black, it transitions seamlessly into fall. It’s such a fresh take on transitional dressing.
We see the suiting again here, but this time with a much more feminine feel. I would wear that mini skirt in a heartbeat — I love the A-line silhouette and how universally flattering it is. Another subtle detail I’ve noticed throughout the collection is the styling of the collar, with one side tucked in and the other left out. It gives the illusion of being slightly undone, but in reality, it’s incredibly intentional. Sometimes the smallest styling details make the biggest impact.
This look feels incredibly bright and bold, even though there’s barely any color involved. My first thought is how easily I would wear the striped tank on its own, but pairing it with a skirt in the exact same pattern takes it to a much more runway-esque level. I’ve also been noticing a lot of small leather goods worn as necklaces lately — almost like a luggage tag hanging around the neck. It’s an unexpected accessory that makes the whole look feel a little more interesting.
I love this sunshine yellow as a statement piece. While it could easily be worn open as a lightweight jacket, it looks incredibly polished styled as a dress. And again, you’ll notice that only one side of the collar is tucked in, creating that slightly undone, asymmetrical effect we’ve seen throughout the collection.
I haven’t touched on accessories much, but oversized sunglasses are everywhere right now. They’re not necessarily my personal style, but some people can absolutely pull them off. What do you think of the almost bug-like sunglasses trend — are you into it?
Really, the only reason I included this look is because I want that striped sweater! The thick stripes are enough of a statement on their own, but paired with this barrel-shaped skirt covered in exaggerated sequin florals, the entire outfit becomes a showstopper. It’s an unexpected combination, but that’s exactly what makes it feel so runway-worthy.
Last but certainly not least, I had to include an all-black look. At first glance, it might seem simple, but it’s anything but. Both the top and skirt feature asymmetrical silhouettes moving in opposing directions, creating so much visual interest without relying on color. And then there’s the bright yellow bag — the pop of color against the black creates an immediate contrast that makes the entire look that much more eye-catching. Proof that an all-black outfit never has to be boring!
